This installation was part of a renovation, turning an outhouse / junk room turned in to Spa at the Great House B&B in Exmoor

  • Time: 10 hours over the course of a couple of weeks, time restraints due to running the B&B!

A perfect time to fit WUNDA Rapid Response® heating is when renovating or extending as typically the flooring is replaced at the same time.

So, whilst the floorboards or concrete subfloor are exposed fitting can be incorporated as part of the project.

Install Process

First the old damaged vinyl was removed to reveal the concrete floor underneath. After removing any debris from the concrete floor, a pipe and board layout plan provided by Wunda was followed, and the Rapid Response Overfloor® boards were laid down using Wunda’s Rapid Bond adhesive spray. After laying the boards the pipe was installed.

Once the boards and the pipe was laid duo boards were placed over the Rapid Response boards ready for the chosen Vinyl floor finish.
The Manifold was installed, pressure tested and connected to the boiler by a professional plumber.
To control the system the Great House owners chose to have WundaSmart controls installed.

Final Floor Finish

The chosen floor finish for this project was vinyl. Duo boards were placed on top of the Rapid Response Overfloor boards, and the manifold was installed and pressure tested by a plumber before installing the floor finish.
